About the Artist

Zelmo was initially a self-taught artist. Born in 1957 in Queens, New York, Zelmo took to music as soon as he was able to hold a guitar, drum sticks or place his hands on a keyboard. Throughout his childhood, Zelmo developed an appreciation for many different styles of music. He would often listen for hours to such influencial artists as the Beatles, Beethoven, the Rolling Stones and the Who. During High School, Zelmo sang in the Concert Chior, the Madrigal Singers and performed many solo works. He was involved in the drama productions as well. It was during his High School years that he began writing music.

After high school, Zelmo was accepted to and attended the Hart College of Music at the University of Hartford in Conneticut. He lives in Rockland County, New York with his wife Susan, and two rescued dogs, Addy and Zoe.
